The rain seems to have stopped for now. Reports received this morning from the Hoedspruit area are of blue skies and sunshine. This break in the weather is allowing Glen to assess more fully the damage and to determine absolute priorities such as re-erecting fences to prevent loss of game and prevent breaches of security. Glen has indicated that one of the main priorities will be to restore the access road. The damage to the farm is massive and most roads are still impassable.
Alex is still unable to return to work. Francois remains stranded. Consequently there are no personnel to answer the office phone. Shareholders are requested please not to phone the office and we will keep you posted of developments as we receive reports from Glen and the area.
Glen is being inundated with calls from shareholders requesting special permission and assistance to be on the farm this weekend as they have invited guests. Regrettably, due to the prevailing situation, the farm remains closed until further notice. In any event, reports from Hoedspruit, are that the main road to Hoedspruit is cut off in two places.
Thank you to those shareholders who have offered their help and messages of support. Your loyalty is appreciated.
